At PCUM, you have a range of opportunities to reach out and serve others in mission, just as God has reached out through Jesus Christ to love and serve us. Stepping beyond self-interest to care for our neighbors grows naturally from our encounter with the Good News in worship - and has become part of the rhythm of life at this church. By meeting Christ in service to others, both we and the world are transformed.
In recent years we have built on a long history of supporting mission and expanded our commitment to "hands-on," volunteer-driven programs that meet the material needs of neighbors facing, hunger, homelessness or life-altering crisis.
Serving others personally in mission is a great way to gain new experience and perspective, to build relationships within the church and across boundaries of race and background.
