The governing body of a local congregation within the Presbyterian Church (USA) is called the Session. At PCUM, the Session is composed of 15 elders — church members who have been elected by the congregation and ordained by the pastors and other elders. Elders are elected to a three-year term. Our pastor moderates the meetings. The elders serving on the Session are the immediate representatives of the people in the church. They are charged with the oversight of the entire ministry and program of PCUM, including all financial matters.
Our Session meets on the fourth Monday of each month.
