The office of Deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of sympathy, witness and service after the example of Jesus Christ. Therefore, the responsibility of the Board of Deacons is to minister to the entire church congregation, particularly the sick, the friendless, the elderly and those in distress or have special needs both within and beyond the community of faith.
